Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki<\/a>, on Sunday, imposed a 10-day dusk-to-dawn curfew on the state effective Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Obaseki made the announcement on his official twitter handle, saying the curfew would prohibit movement of people from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. within the period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The governor said the curfew would be reviewed after the 10-day period within which the government must have increased screening and testing for the COVID-19 pandemic in the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to him, the decision was to ensure strict compliance with all the measures aimed at curbing the spread of COVID-19 in the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Obaseki said: \u201cDear Edo people, to ensure strict compliance with measures to curb the spread of #COVID-19, I have given an order prohibiting the movement of people in Edo State from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis order will be reviewed after 10 days when we have increased screening and testing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
