The\nPresidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) has dismissed the argument by the\nPeoples Democratic Party (PDP) seeking to disqualify President Muhammadu\nBuhari, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate for the 2019\nGeneral Election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The court\nruled that Buhari possess the West African School Certificate Examination,\n(WASCE), to contest the 2019 presidential election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It said\nBuhari was not only qualified, but eminently qualified to contest the election,\nsaying that the petitioners (Atiku Abubakar and PDP), could not run away from\nthe fact that Buhari obtained WASCE which qualified him for the election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The court\nsaid apart from being qualified, the president also obtained other certificates\nto validate claims that he is eminently qualified for the presidential poll.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Chairman\nof the tribunal, Garba Mohammed, therefore struck out the claims by the PDP and\nAtiku that Buhari did not possess the needed qualification for the election and\nthat he presented false information to INEC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
