Esther Akinsanya, a 55-year-old nurse and mother of two has died of coronavirus in a London hospital. She worked in the same hospital with her sister Mary Idowu, who is said to be fighting for her own life in intensive care. It was gathered that Esther and her sister lived together at Queen Elizabeth in Woolwich. According to reports, they were rushed to the hospital within hours of each other two weeks ago but Esther died four days later on April 15. Esther’s son identified as Samuel, 26 said: \u201cWe are heartbroken. My mother lit up a room when she walked in, it was impossible not to like her. \u201cThey are tough women they didn\u2019t mention the dangers they just got on with their jobs. They both tested positive and are convinced they got it at work. These heroes like my mum and aunt need to be protected. It\u2019s just not good enough that people on the front line are dying like this.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In other news, a Nigerian man in the United Kingdom has cautioned fellow countrymen against criticising President Muhammadu Buhari over lockdown extension, saying the president means well for them. The man identified as Samuel N on Twitter said he has tested positive for COVID-19, and that he has not eaten for the past 13 days due to the deadly disease. He said his main concern is to survive the virus, suggesting that people should focus on keeping safe instead of complaining of lockdown. The Nigerian man said he has been under the care of the National Health Service in the United Kingdom since he tested positive for the disease. He tweeted: “We are at war fighting an invisible enemy, everyone needs to join hands together to defeat the common enemy. “Please follow all government and NCDC advice and guidelines. “Hunger that has hope can never kill you.
