{"id":15849,"date":"2020-05-27T09:09:22","date_gmt":"2020-05-27T09:09:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/watchdogplusmedia.com\/?p=15849"},"modified":"2020-05-27T09:09:27","modified_gmt":"2020-05-27T09:09:27","slug":"nysc-extends-service-year-for-24-corps-members-in-lagos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/watchdogplusmedia.com\/?p=15849","title":{"rendered":"NYSC extends service year for 24 corps members in Lagos"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i3.wp.com\/www.ripplesnigeria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/nysc.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has extended the service year of 24 Batch B Stream 1 corps members serving in Lagos State for alleged indiscipline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The state\u2019s NYSC Coordinator, Eddy Megwa, who disclosed this in a statement titled: \u201cCorps Disciplinary Committee Decision,\u201d said 18 other corps members had also been listed for \u201cpending disciplinary issues.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said the service year of the affected corps members would be extended by between two weeks to four months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><ins><\/ins><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Batch B Stream 1 corps members are expected to pass out on May 28.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Megwa said: \u201cThe affected corps members (those with an extension of service year) are to report to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ripplesnigeria.com\/coronavirus-nigerian-govt-orders-immediate-shutdown-of-all-nysc-orientation-camps\/\">NYSC<\/a>, State Secretariat, Surulere on Wednesday, 27th May, 2020 between 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. to collect their respective letters of disciplinary decision.
