The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Sunday night confirmed 307 new COVID-19 cases in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In its daily update on the COVID-19<\/a> situation in Nigeria released on its Twitter handle, the centre said the fresh infections had increased the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country to 10,162.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the NCDC, the new cases were recorded in 14 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The COVID-19 death toll had also increased from 273 to 287 in the last 24 hours while 3,007 patients had been discharged by health workers from various treatment facilities in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The breakdown of the figure on a state-by-state basis revealed the following: Lagos (188), FCT (44), Ogun (19), Kaduna (14), Oyo (12), Bayelsa (9), Gombe (5), Kano (3) and Delta (3).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Others are \u2013 Imo (2), Rivers (2), Niger (2), Bauchi (2), Plateau (1) and Kwara (1).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
