Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Sunday condemned the\nalleged arrest of prominent members of the party in Bayelsa State by soldiers\nof 6 Division of the Nigerian Army led by the General Officer Commanding (GOC),\nMajor Gen Jamil Sahram.
\n
\nBayelsa State PDP Chairman, Hon Moses Cleopas, accused the GOC of\nusing the men under his command, especially the Commander of the Artillery\nBrigade, Lt Col Wase, to perpetrate electoral fraud in Bayelsa.
\n
\nHe said that Gen Sarham was spearheading the desperate attempt to\nrewrite the results of the election to rig it in favor of the APC.
\n
\nHe said that soldiers under the command of Sarham had commenced\nindiscriminate of arrest PDP leaders in Ogbia.
\n
\nChairman, Hon Ebinyon Turner; two lawmakers, Hon Gibson Munalayefa and\nMrs. Naomi Ogoli.
\n
\nCleopas lamented that while PDP members were being arrested and taken\nto unknown destination, the election results for Ogbia were also being\nrewritten.
\n
\nThe PDP chairman wondered why the Nigerian Army would allow itself to\nbe used as a tool to subvert democracy in the country.

\nHe said that the PDP had already won the election with the original\nresults from the polling units where proper voting took place on Saturday.
