{"id":20465,"date":"2020-06-10T14:32:10","date_gmt":"2020-06-10T14:32:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/watchdogplusmedia.com\/?p=20465"},"modified":"2020-06-10T14:32:18","modified_gmt":"2020-06-10T14:32:18","slug":"sanwo-olu-appoints-obilana-as-lagos-pension-commission-chief","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/watchdogplusmedia.com\/?p=20465","title":{"rendered":"Sanwo-Olu appoints Obilana as Lagos Pension Commission chief"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i3.wp.com\/www.ripplesnigeria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Babalola-Obilana.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ripplesnigeria.com\/lagos-state-selects-firms-for-fourth-miainland-bridge-construction\/\">Lagos State<\/a>&nbsp;Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has approved the appointment of Mr. Babalola Obilana as the new Director-General of the Lagos State Pension Commission (LASPEC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Public Relations Officer of LASPEC, Mrs. M.A Eko, who disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, said Obilana\u2019s appointment was in recognition of his outstanding performance and accomplishments in the financial sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He succeeds Mrs. Folashade Onanuga as LASPEC chief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She said: \u201cUntil his appointment, Obilana was the Executive Director, Business Development and Services, Stanbic IBTC Asset Management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHe is an erudite scholar and graduated from the University of Lagos with a BSC (Hons) in Actuarial Science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201dHe holds an MBA from the famous Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, Osun, and he is an alumni of Lagos Business School for Senior Management Programme (SMP).\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the LASPEC spokesperson, Obilana\u2019s career spans over 28 years from different financial institutions such as ARM&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ripplesnigeria.com\/paying-ex-govs-speakers-pension-from-state-purse-illegal-gov-uzodinma\/\">Pension<\/a>&nbsp;Managers where he was a pioneer staff responsible for business development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eko added: \u201cObilana on the assumption of duty and in a meeting with top management official of the commission, earlier on Tuesday, promised to bring his wealth of experience and knowledge to bear at the agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHe appreciated Governor Sanwo-Olu for giving him the opportunity to contribute his quota to uplift Lagos State.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lagos State&nbsp;Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has approved the appointment of Mr. Babalola Obilana as the new Director-General of the Lagos State Pension Commission (LASPEC).
