{"id":20909,"date":"2020-06-11T14:49:52","date_gmt":"2020-06-11T14:49:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/watchdogplusmedia.com\/?p=20909"},"modified":"2020-06-11T14:49:52","modified_gmt":"2020-06-11T14:49:52","slug":"european-ban-man-city-to-know-fate-in-july","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/watchdogplusmedia.com\/?p=20909","title":{"rendered":"EUROPEAN BAN: Man City to know fate in July"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i3.wp.com\/www.ripplesnigeria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/101198466_hi046599375.jpg\" alt=\"champions manchester city\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>English Premier League champions, Manchester City will get to know their fate following their appeal against a ban handed to them by Europe\u2019s football governing body, UEFA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas) is expected to announce its decision on the appeal against their two-year European ban.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The hearing was conducted by video conference on Wednesday, and the result to be announced in the first half of July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBoth parties expressed their satisfaction with respect to the conduct of the procedure\u201d, Cas said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>City were handed the ban in February by Uefa\u2019s Club Financial Control Body (CFCB), and were fined the club 30m euros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The body had ruled that the Etihad club committed \u201cserious breaches\u201d of Uefa\u2019s Financial Fair Play regulations between 2012 and 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CFCB also said City had failed to cooperate with the investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>City lodged their appeal late February, saying it was \u201csimply not true\u201d that they had breached the rules.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>English Premier League champions, Manchester City will get to know their fate following their appeal against a ban handed to them by Europe\u2019s football governing body, UEFA.
