Nigerian Music star, Oladapo Oyebanjo better known as D\u2019Banj<\/a> on Monday told Nigerians to desist from prosecuting him on social media platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He made the statement on his Twitter and Instagram handles following a rape allegation involving himself and one Seyitan Babatayo that has set the social media buzzing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cInnocent until proven guilty\u2026., STOP SOCIAL MEDIA TRIAL 🏛🏛🏛⚖️⚖️⚖️ #SAY NO TO RAPE AND HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATION.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a video he posted on Instagram, he was seen dancing to his 2008 hit song \u201cOlorun Maje\u201d, which loosely means God Forbid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms Babatayo had accused the singer of raping her in 2018 at an all white party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, he has denied the allegations levelled against him and demanded the sum of N100m in damages and a puble apology from his accuser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Inspector General of Police has ordered an investigation into the allegation, after a petition was submitted to that effect by Ms Babatayo\u2019s lawyers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
