{"id":29200,"date":"2020-08-31T08:55:46","date_gmt":"2020-08-31T08:55:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/watchdogplusmedia.com\/?p=29200"},"modified":"2020-08-31T08:55:46","modified_gmt":"2020-08-31T08:55:46","slug":"amcons-assets-under-management-now-n137bn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/watchdogplusmedia.com\/?p=29200","title":{"rendered":"AMCON\u2019s assets under management now N137bn"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i3.wp.com\/www.ripplesnigeria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Ahmed-Kuru.jpg\" alt=\"AMCON takes over ex-minister's property over N1bn debt\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The total assets of the Asset Management Company of Nigeria (AMCON) currently stand at N136.73 billion, its Managing Director\/Chief Executive Officer, Ahmed Kuru, said on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr Kuru, who made the declaration in a statement on Sunday titled, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ripplesnigeria.com\/tag\/AMCON\/\">AMCON&nbsp;<\/a>N5tn Debt: AMCON, Senate Collaborate to Drive Recovery,\u201d also noted that the corporation has property assets valued at N112.03 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the statement, Kuru requested legislative support for asset recovery while leading AMCON\u2019s management to appear at a technical session of the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and Other Financial Institution, which held in Abuja.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The committee had met to review the effects of the coronavirus pandemic on AMCON\u2019s policies and processes in order to reposition the corporation for optimal performance in the face of the COVID-19 crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe want the 9th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to pile pressure on some of our obligors through the Senate Committee on Banking Insurance and Other Financial Institutions under the leadership of Senator Uba Sani as Chairman.
