Iranian President, Hassan Rouhani has vowed to inflict a \u201cdecisive response\u201d against the United States of America for acting like a bully to adversaries and allies alike and its moves over unilateral UN sanctions against Tehran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a live televised cabinet meeting on Sunday evening, Rouhani<\/a> congratulated world powers for resisting US pressure to reinstate UN sanctions, saying the effort \u201chas reached its definitive point of failure\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, he said, \u201cwill be a memorable day in the history of our country\u2019s diplomacy\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cToday we can say the \u2018maximum pressure\u2019 of the US against the Iranian nation, politically and legally, has turned to \u2018maximum isolation\u2019 for the US,\u201d President Rouhani added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This came after the commander-in-chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Major-General Hossein Salami, vowed to avenge the death of Qassem Soleimani (widely believed to be the second most powerful man in Iran) who was killed in a US drone strike in Iraq.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
