{"id":34386,"date":"2020-10-07T09:12:49","date_gmt":"2020-10-07T09:12:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/watchdogplusmedia.com\/?p=34386"},"modified":"2020-10-07T09:12:56","modified_gmt":"2020-10-07T09:12:56","slug":"nigerian-govt-rolls-out-new-conditions-for-intending-travellers-to-uae","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/watchdogplusmedia.com\/?p=34386","title":{"rendered":"Nigerian govt rolls out new conditions for intending travellers to UAE"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i3.wp.com\/www.ripplesnigeria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Muhammad-Babandede.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Muhammad Babandede, has directed intending travellers to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to have in their possession confirmed return ticket, negative COVID-19 test result and valid health insurance covering the duration of stay in the Middle Eastweb nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ripplesnigeria.com\/nigerias-immigration-chief-babandede-recovers-from-covid-19-leaves-isolation\/\">Babandede<\/a>, who gave the directive in a statement issued on Tuesday by the NIS Spokesman, Sunday James, said the intending travelers to UAE must undergo the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) at least 96 hours before departure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that the travelers must also have confirmed hotel reservation for the duration of their stay in UAE or address of their relatives in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The statement read: \u201cThe CGI, Muhammad Babandede wishes to communicate new visa regulations introduced by the UAE\u2019s authority in view of the current COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cUAE bound passengers are expected to be in possession of the following: Confirmed return ticket; confirmed hotel reservation for the duration of stay in UAE or address of residence in the UAE or address of relatives of the visitor playing host while in the UAE; a negative PCR test taken within 96 hrs before departure; valid health insurance, copies of trade licenses in the UAE and Nigeria, if applicable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ripplesnigeria.com\/nigeria-immigration-service-kicks-off-implementation-of-new-visa-fee-policy\/\">Nigeria Immigration Service<\/a>&nbsp;hereby, advises all UAE-bound passengers to avoid denial of departure from Nigeria and repatriation from the country concerned due to non-compliance.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Muhammad Babandede, has directed intending travellers to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to have in their possession confirmed return ticket, negative COVID-19 test result and valid health insurance covering the duration of stay in the Middle Eastweb nation.
