Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) said on Thursday the country\u2019s power sector recorded an all-time national peak of 5,459.50MW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The TCN General Manager, Public Affairs, Ms. Ndidi Mbah, who disclosed this in a statement, said the new record was achieved on October 28.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She added that the power generated was efficiently transmitted through the nation\u2019s transmission grid at a frequency of 50.26Hz at 8:15 p.m. on that date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mbah stressed that the figure was the highest peak ever recorded in the nation\u2019s power industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to her, the new peak surpassed the 5,420.30MW recorded on August 18 by 39.20MW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Managing Director of TCN<\/a>, Mr. Sule Abdulaziz, commended the players in the power sector value chain for the feat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
