{"id":38317,"date":"2020-12-30T11:49:07","date_gmt":"2020-12-30T11:49:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/watchdogplusmedia.com\/?p=38317"},"modified":"2020-12-30T11:49:14","modified_gmt":"2020-12-30T11:49:14","slug":"gunmen-in-military-uniform-kidnap-oyo-businessman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/watchdogplusmedia.com\/?p=38317","title":{"rendered":"Gunmen in military uniform kidnap Oyo businessman"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i3.wp.com\/www.ripplesnigeria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/gunmen-in-military-outfit-nigeria.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Gunmen claded in military uniform have kidnapped an Oyo businessman, Wole Agboola, on his farm on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Oyo police command and Amotekun corps confirmed in a statement on Tuesday night that the Oyo businessman was kidnapped on Monday evening at the farm in Abaodo area of Olukitibi village in Akinyele Local Government Area in Ibadan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The police spokesperson in the state, Okugbenga Fadeyi in a statement, appealed to the general public for relevant information that can help the police in their search.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOn 28\/12\/2020 at about 1830 hrs, some armed men numbering about six and dressed in military camouflage sneaked into the piggery\/fish farm located at Nagbede village via Aba-odo on foot and abducted one Oluwole Agboola \u2018m\u2019 the owner of the farm into the bush.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cImmediately the report of the incident got to the notice of DPO Moniya, search party comprising of plainclothes\/Tactical police teams, Vigilantes, hunters, and Amotekun corps swung into action and were deployed to far and near bushes to comb the areas for possible arrest of the hoodlums and also getting the abductor released.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cConsequent upon this, concerted communal effort was intensified to complement the existing deployment already in place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Commissioner of Police therefore implore good spirited members of the public with useful information to give to the Police to assist in the arrest of the criminal element.(s) and others alike in the State while other means are being designed to stop future occurrence forthwith.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, the Commandant of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ripplesnigeria.com\/amotekun-dismisses-report-on-the-killing-of-ui-student-by-its-operatives\/\">Amotekun Corps<\/a>&nbsp;in the state, Olayinka Olayanju, urged residents of the state to be security conscious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr Olayanju in a statement also on Tuesday night said the kidnappers were dressed in military fatigue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAlso, info gathered revealed that Mr Agboola usually visits his farm on Mondays.
