{"id":41157,"date":"2021-03-10T15:44:20","date_gmt":"2021-03-10T15:44:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/watchdogplusmedia.com\/?p=41157"},"modified":"2021-03-10T15:44:35","modified_gmt":"2021-03-10T15:44:35","slug":"oyo-gov-makinde-under-criticism-over-purchase-of-20-bicycles-for-transportation-within-secretariat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/watchdogplusmedia.com\/?p=41157","title":{"rendered":"Oyo Gov, Makinde, under criticism over purchase of 20 bicycles for transportation within secretariat"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i3.wp.com\/www.ripplesnigeria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Seyi-Makinde.-..jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Seyi Makinde, the Oyo State Governor, has come under criticism on social media over his decision to purchase bicycles to ease the movement of civil servants within the state secretariat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A report issued by an online news platform on Wednesday, March 10, revealed that the government did not announce the amount spent on the bicycles, the 20 bicycles were purchased for easy movement of civil servants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bicycles called&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ripplesnigeria.com\/gov-makinde-reopens-shasha-market-after-bloody-crisis\/\">\u2018Keke Seyi\u2019<\/a>&nbsp;were reportedly rolled out on Wednesday morning at the main entrance of the state secretariat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This was contained in a statement issued on the Facebook page of the governor\u2019s former special assistant on digital media and social media influencer, whom he sacked last year, Murtala Adigun, also known as Adigun Ibadan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cGSM has just provided the best means of transportation for the civil servants within the state secretariat,\u201d Adigun wrote on his page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reacting to his statement, a Facebook user, Saheed Osupa said, \u201cI am tired of this Seyi Makinde.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Olamide Monsur said, \u201cWhat is all this rubbish, olorun ma gba was lowo Mr Hemm Hemm Hemmm.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While another respondent, Omotoso Omo, however, berated Adigun, saying, \u201cOga poster, you don\u2019t need to discredit your former boss with this, you need to tell people the usefulness and the reason for the bicycles in your post and see if people will praise GSM or not\u2026. But due to your hatred for GSM for sacking you when you posted lies then, you are now looking for cheap political scores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe bicycles are inside the secretariat and it is for the use of people that want to move from one office to the other, instead of walking, this will aid easy and fast movement\u2026 And to crown it all, Oyo state is not the first state to have such, so no big deal.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another Facebook user, Olubadan Oyeyemi, posted on his Facebook page that, \u201c20 bicycles for 5M people.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oladeji Kamorudeen, \u201cWho do we offend in Oyo State?
