{"id":45155,"date":"2021-06-29T07:24:51","date_gmt":"2021-06-29T07:24:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/watchdogplusmedia.com\/?p=45155"},"modified":"2021-06-29T07:24:57","modified_gmt":"2021-06-29T07:24:57","slug":"nigeria-with-borrowed-laws-has-no-structure-to-restructure-northern-coalition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/watchdogplusmedia.com\/?p=45155","title":{"rendered":"Nigeria with borrowed laws, has no structure to restructure \u2014Northern Coalition"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i3.wp.com\/www.ripplesnigeria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/CNG-Spokesman-AbdulAziz-Sulaiman.jpg\" alt=\"Nigeria with borrowed laws, has no structure to restructure \u2014Northern Coalition\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Spokesman of the Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG), Abdul-Aziz Sulaiman, has called on advocates of restructuring to have a rethink as there is nothing on ground in Nigeria that warrants a restructuring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sulaiman who was a guest at a retreat organised by the Northern Caucus of the House of Representatives on Monday in Abuja, warned that those who are \u201chell-bent on putting the country in a dilemma before and after their exit through agitations should be tackled\u201d to desist from such actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CNG spokesman argued that \u201csomeone could not be an advocate of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ripplesnigeria.com\/buhari-apc-incoherent-and-dishonest-on-restructuring-pandef\/\">restructuring<\/a>\u00a0and at the same time insisting he must exit the country, adding that Nigeria as a nation had no existing structures which could be restructured.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe have always insisted that you can\u2019t restructure where there is no structure. We need to have a nation first before we build a structure for it and then we can restructure consequently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHonestly, we need to tell ourselves the truth; there is no Nigeria because a section of the country has insisted and persisted that they are not Nigerians for 60 years now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhy must we insist that they are part of Nigeria? Why must we insist on restructuring in keeping the people who said they are not part of us?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThese people just want to go and leave us in problems. We are not concerned about restructuring. What we are saying is a referendum to define the name \u2018Nigeria\u2019.
