{"id":45353,"date":"2021-07-05T08:18:55","date_gmt":"2021-07-05T08:18:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/watchdogplusmedia.com\/?p=45353"},"modified":"2021-07-05T08:19:00","modified_gmt":"2021-07-05T08:19:00","slug":"five-dead-others-injured-in-oyo-gas-tanker-accident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/watchdogplusmedia.com\/?p=45353","title":{"rendered":"Five dead, others injured in Oyo gas tanker accident"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i3.wp.com\/www.ripplesnigeria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Oyo-gas-tanker-accident-scene.jpg\" alt=\"Five dead, others injured in Oyo gas tanker accident\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>No fewer than five persons have been killed and several others injured in an accident involving a gas truck in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This comes barely 24 hours after an accident involving a truck and motorcycle, claimed three lives at the Total Garden area of Ibadan, just a few meters from the second gate of University College Hospital (UCH) around 8:00 am on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ripplesnigeria.com\/\">Ripples Nigeria<\/a>&nbsp;learnt that the accident, which occurred at about 9:00 am on Sunday at a popular herbs market in the Bode area of the city, was caused by a brake failure from the tanker which was fully loaded with domestic gas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>The incident was confirmed by the Police spokesperson in the state, Adewale Osifeso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said, \u201cThe accident occurred as a result of a collision between a Coca-Cola Howoo truck with Reg No APP 696 XV and two motorcycles.
