Government area of Kogi State have neutralised a notorious kidnap kingpin in a gun battle on Saturday, July 31.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The kingpin, CRIMECHANNELS learnt, once abducted his biological father and collected a ransom of N4 million for his release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The deceased kidnapper according to locals, was a seasoned armed robber known for robbery in several areas in Kogi. They said he has been declared wanted for some time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In another similar development, it was learnt that a combined operation led by Olamaboro Local Government Chairman, Hon. Adejoh Friday Nicodemus, involving both teams from the neighborhood apprehended another kidnap agent identified as Kizito Ocheme aka Igbo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The culprit, the security agent said, terrorized between Olamaboro Local government and Otukpa branch of Ogbadibo Local government of Banue State. They said he was apprehended while he tried to escape them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hon. Adejoh commended the security team for their bravery and professionalism in the way they handled the matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said that the Government, including the federal and state would continue to make efforts towards sustaining the drive for a peaceful state by making every nooks and crannies of the state unsafe for criminal elements to hide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
