{"id":46626,"date":"2021-08-13T07:17:08","date_gmt":"2021-08-13T07:17:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/watchdogplusmedia.com\/?p=46626"},"modified":"2021-08-13T07:17:17","modified_gmt":"2021-08-13T07:17:17","slug":"eko-bridge-reopened","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/watchdogplusmedia.com\/?p=46626","title":{"rendered":"Eko Bridge reopened."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"739\" height=\"415\" src=\"http:\/\/watchdogplusmedia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/DF2A2420-159E-4E3E-87D3-0873EC9BFC1F.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-46628\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Federal Government has announced the reopening of Eko Bridge, which had been under repairs, to traffic on Friday, Aug. 13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Federal Controller of Works in Lagos, Mr Olukayode Popoola, in a statement on Thursday night, said the 10-week rehabilitation works on Eko Bridge was completed on schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also said traffic would be diverted for the rehabilitation of the burnt Lagos Airport flyover from Aug. 13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Alaka to Costain section of Eko bridge which was closed to traffic since 4th June, 2021 will now be opened on Friday 13th Aug. 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Honorable Minister of Works and Housing thanks the motoring public for their cooperation while the rehabilitation work was ongoing,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"712\" height=\"431\" src=\"http:\/\/watchdogplusmedia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/DFB40237-02B0-47F5-A240-07D854669CB7.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-46629\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Eko Bridge was shut on June 4, with traffic diverted for the second phase of the rehabilitation of the Costain-bound section of the bridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Popoola also said traffic diversion towards the rehabilitation of the burnt Airport flyover bridge in Lagos would begin from Friday, Aug. 13 until Sept. 22.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Federal Government has announced the reopening of Eko Bridge, which had been under repairs, to traffic on Friday, Aug. 13.
