{"id":46752,"date":"2021-08-18T13:04:55","date_gmt":"2021-08-18T13:04:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/watchdogplusmedia.com\/?p=46752"},"modified":"2021-08-18T13:05:05","modified_gmt":"2021-08-18T13:05:05","slug":"jigawa-road-accident-14-people-killed-in-ghastly-motor-accident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/watchdogplusmedia.com\/?p=46752","title":{"rendered":"Jigawa Road Accident: 14 people killed in ghastly motor accident."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"412\" height=\"264\" src=\"http:\/\/watchdogplusmedia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/DDD864BC-9A00-475C-A46B-2D8B7718D5DA.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-46754\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The police in Jigawa has confirmed the death of 14 persons in an auto crash in Ringim Local Government Area of the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Jigawa Police Command, ASP Lawan Shiisu, confirmed the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Dutse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shiisu said the accident occurred on Monday at about 7:40 pm, along Ringim-Kano road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said eight others were injured in the accident that occurred at Kwanar Gerawa area of Ringim LGA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOn August 16, at about 1940hrs a fatal motor accident occurred that involved a Golf-3 car with registration number BH 628 DKA driven by one Magaji Yakubu of Timbau village in Gezawa LGA of Kano State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYakubu, who was heading to Ringim, had a head-on collision with another oncoming Golf-3 vehicle with registration number TRN 541 AA driven by one Usman Isyaku of Dausayi village, also in Gezawa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"600\" height=\"375\" src=\"http:\/\/watchdogplusmedia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/0C2B006E-BBCB-4E4D-AD1F-D261C2D4AAB8.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-46755\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe accident occurred at Kwanar Gerawa and both vehicles were carrying passengers. And a result, 14 passengers, comprising seven males and seven females lost their lives,\u201d Shiisu said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He identified the females deceased as Zainab Hamza, 35; Hauwa Hamza, 50, Gadatu Adamu, 40, Bilkisu Harisu, 25, Ilham kamilu, 27, Bilkisu kamilu, 25 and Hajjo Yusuf, 60.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Spokesman further gave the names of the male deceased as Usman Isiyaku, 38; Nura Umar 35, Abdullahi Yahaya, 40, Adamu Ahmad, 30, Abdullahi Garba, 30 and Yawale Salihu, 7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to him, the eight injured passengers are currently receiving treatment at General Hospital, Ringim.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The police in Jigawa has confirmed the death of 14 persons in an auto crash in Ringim Local Government Area of the state.
