Coronavirus<\/a> measures have sparked another market selloff after Donald Trump<\/a> announced a ban on travel from mainland Europe to the United States in an Oval Office address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The FTSE 100<\/a> dropped five per cent in the first half-hour after opening as the United States upped its response to the outbreak, despite funding announcements<\/a> from the Chancellor, Rishi Sunak<\/a>, in the Budget yesterday<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tom Hanks<\/a> and his wife, Rita Wilson, both 63, have tested positive for Covid-19 in Australia, where the Forrest Gump actor was due to begin filming a film with Baz Luhrmann shortly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Back in the UK, Government plans which would see the Premier League and lower division seasons finished behind closed doors<\/a> were revealed in a report by the Times<\/a>. The games will continue to be televised, with an increased number allowed in the usual slots, but a ban on screening football in the pub will also be imposed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
