The former Minister of Aviation,\u00a0Femi Fani-Kayode<\/a>\u00a0has reacted to the explosion in Lagos on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reports are that the explosion in Abule Ado area of Amuwo Odofin, Lagos State was caused by gas pipeline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the former minister has doubted that claim. He said \u201cThere is more\u201d to the explosion \u201cthan meets the eye.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a tweet on his Twitter handle-@realFFK, he noted that the incident was tragic. \u201cSo much destruction and loss of life. Sad,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He added, \u201cThey say it was caused by the explosion of a gas pipeline but I doubt that. Such massive and widespread destruction cannot be caused by a pipeline explosion. There is more to this than meets the eye.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No fewer than 16 persons were reported killed and over 50 houses destroyed as a result of the explosion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the victims included a father, mother and their two sons, who were on their way to church when the incident happened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are still some Nigerians who, like Fani-Kayode, are doubting the report that a gas pipeline explosion caused the tragedy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
