Activist\nand publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore who has been detained by the\nfederal government on account of his botched Revolution Now protest, has\nrejected the offer made by President of Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide,\nApostle Johnson Suleman, to stand as surety.

\nRecall\nthat ngg.ng reported earlier that the clergyman has said that he was\nconsidering standing as surety for Sowore even though Sowore had hurt him in\nthe past. Read more here.

\nThe legal\nteam of Sowore, speaking through his lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, told newsmen that\nSuleman\u2019s offer would not be considered because he was not eligible to stand\nsurety for the detained activist as the court was clear that the surety must be\nresident in Abuja.
\n
\nEffiong\nsaid Suleman\u2019s offer cannot be considered nor accepted, adding that Suleman and\nSowore had once had a public altercation, as a result, there is conflict of\ninterest.

\n\u201cSo, we\nare turning it down and we are not even considering it. The way the Federal\nGovernment politicized the matter, made it difficult for the bail conditions to\nbe met. But we are in the process of perfecting the bail\u201c

\nSowore had\nin a report published through his platform, accused Suleman of engaging in\nextra-marital affairs with a woman known as Stephanie Otobo.

\nThe\nactivist, who is the Convener of #Revolution Now, was arrested by the\nDepartment of State Services on August 2, 2019, for allegedly trying to\noverthrow the President Muhammadu Buhari government.
