Spanish authorities finally release Ronaldo’s private jet as Juventus star returns to Italy with family

Cristiano Ronaldo has finally departed his hometown of Madeira with his family to Italy in a bid to rejoin Juventus ahead of their training sessions. The Portuguese superstar’s plane was initially grounded in Madrid, Spain, and was not allowed to fly out of the capital. But it is understood that Ronaldo’s £20million private jet landed on Sunday in Madeira to take luggage and three staff including a bodyguard to Italy before returning on Monday evening to the island. And reports claim the Cr7 along with his partner Georgina Rodriguez and his four children departed Madeira after 6pm local time and is expected to land Turin in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The Bianconeri striker has spent two months back in his native home, the first time since he became a professional footballer. And the five-time Ballon d’Or winner will have to self-isolate for two weeks before rejoining his other teammates in training. The Serie A is expected to resume in June as the government has given a go-ahead for teams to return to training. Juve top the table with 63 points, closely followed by Lazio who have 62 points as the league have just 12 matches left to play.
