Covid-19: NCDC announces 148 new cases as total now 2950; Lagos, Kano top chart with 43 and 32 cases respectively

– The agency reported 43 cases in Lagos and 32 in Kano states

– 481 people have been discharged, while 98 deaths are officially on record.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 148 new coronavirus cases in seventeen states, bringing total cases in the country to 2,950. In a tweet by the disease control agency on Twitter on Tuesday night, May 5, NCDC reported 43 cases in Lagos and 32 in Kano state. 14 cases were reported in Zamfara with the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) coming behind on the log with 10 cases. Katsina confirmed nine cases, while Taraba reported seven cases. In Borno and Ogun, six cases were reported in the two states each. NCDC confirmed 5 cases in Oyo, three in Edo, Bauchi and Kaduna. Both Adamawa and Gombe share two cases each. Plateau, Sokoto and Kebbi states have one case each. In total, 481 people have been discharged while 98 deaths are officially on record.
