– Nigerian singer Cynthia Ikponmwenosa Morgan aka Cynthia Morgan who now goes by the name Madrina, is still enjoying the goodwill of well-meaning Nigerians after she came out to share her heartbreaking story.

Among those who have also offered a helping hand to the German Juice crooner to help get her carrier on track again is a popular financial institution in the country. In a post shared on the official Twitter page of the bank, Morgan was invited to come and work on a campaign for the institution. According to the bank, there is still a bright future ahead for Morgan. “Hey Cynthia Morgan, we have followed your story and believe there is a bright future ahead of you. We would like to work with you on our ONE BANK campaign. Please get in touch by DM,” the tweet read. In an unexpected turn of events, some social media users who reacted to the post accused the institution of only helping the music star in other to gain the attention of Nigerians. One Twitter user said: “Sterling bank is chasing clout. Why announce it on social media when they could have just discreetly messaged her? Never accept help from people who publicize it” Another individual who was not impressed with the move by the bank said: “I am disappointed at our banks & corporate businesses. There are millions out there on your loan who prayed you freeze or reschedule their repayments but No. There are loads who are your loyal customer & seeks your financial supports to be afloat but you ignore them. This is sad.

A social media influencer took to Twitter to accuse Davido of being a clout chaser. This came after the singer expressed interest in helping Cynthia Morgan by working on a song with her. The influencer identified as @Irunnia_ however claimed Davido only wanted to help because she is currently the center of attention.
