Kidnapped FRSC officials released

Officials of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) who were kidnapped sometime ago in Nasarawa State, have regained their freedom.

Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, who disclosed this on Monday, said that all the remaining kidnapped officials of the FRSC, out of the initial 26 recently kidnapped along Maraban-Udege, had been freed.

The kidnapped officials were picked while travelling for a training programme at the FRSC Academy in Udi, Enugu State.

The governor expressed gratitude to the state Police Commissioner, Bola Longe, for the job of securing the release of the remaining kidnapped FRSC operatives.

He said, “All the twenty-something officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps that were kidnapped, all of them were released yesterday.

““I want to thank all the security (agencies) and those that have worked very hard to ensure that we achieve that feat.

“I want to thank them for all the efforts they are making to ensure that Nasarawa remains safe.”
