INSTALLATION CEREMONY OF THE 15TH ROTARY PRESIDENT
(ROTARIAN CHIBUZOR OKPALA)
The indefatigable Rotarian Chibuzor Okpala was installed as the 15th president of Rotary Club Ogudu GRA, District 9110, in a fanfare occasion that drew people from all walks of life on the 29th November 2020. 8 new members were also inducted into the Rotary Club of Ogudu GRA, District 9110. These events took place at Lotus Hall, Cumberland, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Rotarian Chibuzor Okpala hails from Uga, Anambra State and attended USNP, Benin City and holds an MBA in management from University of Wales, United Kingdom. He worked as a maintenance Engineer at NEPA Kainji Power Station, New Bussa, Niger State. He was subsequently appointed as a Design Engineer with Datawatch Nigeria Ltd. Garki II Abuja.
Rotarian Chibuzor Okpala is currently the Manager of Escalation and Service Recovery of the biggest telecommunication company in Africa, MTN Nigeria Plc. He joined Rotary Club of Ogudu GRA; December 2015 and has served as secretary for 2 consecutive years, elected Vice President in 2018/2019, elected as the President Elect in 2019/2020 and currently the Opportunities President of the Rotary Club of Ogudu GRA, 2020/2021.
Rotarian Chibuzor Okpala is a jolly good fellow and hopes to continue giving back to society. He is currently married to his beautiful wife Chidiebere Okpala and blessed with three children.

- Engr. Adeoye Fadebiyi (FNSE, FIMeche, FloD)
CEO EKO ELECTRIC DISTRIBUTION COMPANY
Adeoye Fadebiyi is a power industry expert with extensive experience that has spanned two decades in strategic positions. His dedication and excellence helped in his rise to the position of Gas Turbines Installations director, Portfolio Manager and Sales Director for General Electric Energy covering the Middle East and African Regions.
In 2013, he was appointed as pioneer MD/CEO of Transcorp Power Limited(TPL), Ughelli, Delta State a Generation Company that acquired Nigeria’s largest gas fired power plant where the plant available capacity grew from 164MW to 634MW within 25 months.
After making his mark in the Generation section, Engr. Fadebiyi moved downstream along the Electricity Power Sector’s value chain into the Electricity Distribution sub-sector where he assumed office as the MD/CEO of Eko Electricity Distribution Company(EKEDC) on 1st January 2018, a position he still retains still date.
Known for his professional and intellectual finesse, he has also provided a conducive work environment that has improved the Company’s productivity.
He is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers(FNSE), Fellow Institute of Credit Administrators(FICA), Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Mechanical Engineers(FNIMechE), Fellow of the Institute of Directors and Member Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria(COREN) respectively.
He is married with 4 children and has a passion for developing world class talent in the Nigeria power space
- Dr Jide Akeredolu
Immediate Past District Governor,
Dr Jide Akeredolu was born in Kaduna, Nigeria. He is a member of the Arch Klumph Society, the most exclusive group in the world of Rotary, reserved for individuals who have donated a minimum of two hundred and fifty thousand US dollars to the Rotary Foundation. He has established a fund – “The Olajide Akeredolu Endowed Fund” in the Rotary Foundation for the care of congenital abnormalities. His picture is on display, permanently engraved in glass, at the Arch Klumph Society Gallery on the 17th floor of the Rotary International Headquarters in Evanston, Illinois.
He is a member and past President of the Rotary Club of Ogudu GRA. He was president in the Rotary year 2008. At the district level, he has served in numerous roles and committees. He is the immediate past district governor of Rotary District 9110, Nigeria.
He is married to Tokunbo, a Professor of Restorative Dentistry at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, and a Consultant at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital. They are blessed with 4 children.
Valentine Ozigbo (MBA, MSc, FCA, FCIT, FICA, FITP, JP)
Valentine Chineto Ozigbo is a consummate business leader and business entrepreneur with over twenty-five years experience in corporate transformation , power, hospitality, energy and international banking.
Mr Ozigbo is the immediate past president and Group CEO of Transnational Corporation of Nigeria PLC(Transcorp), of Africa’s largest conglomerates. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. He is the founder of Valentine Chineto Ozigbo Foundation, a philanthropic endeavor that focuses on youth empowerment and capacity building. Valentine is married to Ojiugo and they have four children.
- Mr Olufemi Bakare
Group Chief Executive Officer
Olufemi Bakare is a consummate Business Executive in the Energy Industry(Infrastructure and Power), with over 20 years of diverse expertise in Business Management, implementing Operational Strategies and responsible for the growth of Fenchurch Group of companies. He has extensive experience in Acquisition Strategies, Project Structuring and mplementation of effective Corporate Governance across all Fenchurch subsidiary companies.
He sits on the boards of Zeric Energy Resources and SyncSystems West Africa. He obtained his first degree in law from LSB University London.
- Rtn. Vivian Ohiaeri
IPP, Rotary Club of Ogudu GRA
Rotarian IPP Vivian Chinyere Ohiaeri joined the Rotary Club of Ogudu GRA in 2014 where she was immediately saddled with the responsibility of the chairmanship of the Membership Committee, a position she held until 2019 when she was made the President of the club.
She became the President of the Rotary Club of Ogudu GRA in July 2019. In her characteristic manner and flair for membership drive, she chartered two Rotary Clubs in quick succession namely, RC Ikeja Airport and RC Anthony Golden. Her passion for membership cannot be over-emphasized; no wonder she inducted a total of 19 new Rotarians in one Rotary year. In appreciation of her dedicated services and unparalleled feat during the year, the District rewarded her with the prestigious Rotarian of the Year Award. She is blessed with three children.
- Mr. Nonso Okpala
Chief Executive Officer, VFD Group Plc
Nonso Okpala is the Group Managing Director of VFD Group Plc. He was previously the Chief Financial Officer(CFO) of Heirs Holdings and is replete with vast experience in the Nigerian financial services industry garnered while working with reputable firms like KPMG, BGL and United Bank for Africa Plc(UBA)
- Chief (Dr.) Bala Yesufu
Past Assistant Governor, Rotary District 9110, Nigeria
Chief (Dr) Bala Yesufu, is a graduate of the University of Lagos nd holds an MBA from the Lagos State University, Lagos Nigeria. He holds Doctor of Science Honorary Causa in Management and Corporate Governance of the European-American University, Commonwealth of Dominica.
Bala is currently the Chief Consultant at Charles Consulting and Management Services Limited, an Export Business Solutions Outfit. He is Senior Advisor, Export Advisory and Export Learning Solutions at H.Pierson Associates Limited. He is also a Consultant to few companies and one of which is Petrocam Trading (Pty) Limited – an entity focused on commodity trading in Africa.
- Ugonwa Nwoye
Ugonwa Nwoye is a management professional with twenty five years of experience across variojus industries including telecommunications, mangemment consulting and oil and gas.
As Chief Customer Relations Officer at MTN, she leads a wide ranging Customer operation, and has overseen the business transformation process in the area. Ugonwa is a board member of Content Connect International, a new media, content and entertainment company.
- Mrs. Tolulope Onalaja
Married to the CEO of RevolutionPlus Property, Tolulope Onalaja was born in Lagos ang grew up in Lagos. She’s the Executive Director of RevolutionPlus property and she oversees all the branches operation in Nigeria and the international office in Dallas Texas, USA.
She has won several awards in the real estate sector. She is also the co-founder of Chris Bamidele Onalaja foundation which empowers widows yearly and set up a full-fledged private school Todel Nur nd pry school in Ikorodu fully free to educate the less privileged children whose parents cannot afford a private school in that axis.
Prince Ochuko Ejohwomu
Prince Ochuko Ejohwomu was born to the family of His Royal Majesty, L.E Ejohwomu the Ovie of Abraka Kingdom. He is presently the General Manager of Zabadine & Company Limited (IBRU ORGANIZATION).
Evident from his various membership in charity foundations and social bodies, he is a philanthropist and a lover of togetherness.
- Chief (Mrs.) Onikepo Oshodi
Past Assistant Governor, Rotary District 9110, Nigeria
Onikepo Oshodi has been a member of the Rotary family through the IWC since the 80s. She has dedicated all her life to Rotary ideals and its activities. She is happily married with two grown up children.
- High Chief (Alhaji) Aliyu Umaru
Past President, RC Ogudu GRA, Rotary District 9110, Nigeria
Rotarian Aliyu Umaru joined the Rotary Club of Ogudu GRA as a Charter Member in 2006. He rose to become the President in the 2016/2017 Rotary Year. His career cuts across the civil service where he had a stint as the Secretary General of Hydrological Workers Union of the Federal Ministry of Transport, Banking – as Advanced Officer at the Bank of the North.
For his numerous philanthropic, intellectual and humanitarian services to his community and beyond, he was severally recognized and conferred with four chieftaincy titles among which is a high chief and other numerous awards. He is an outstanding political leader in Edo State. He is married and has grown up children.
- Eze Peter Chukwudi Umeh
Ezendigbo of Mushin Land
Eze Peter Chukwudi Umeh is the MD/CEO of JAMGANZA INTERNATIONAL NIGERIA LTD, which deals majorly on books and stationery, also into importation, marketing and represents retail sales for different companies.
He is a renowned distinguished businessman and philanthropist.
The members of Rotary Club of Ogudu GRA again celebrate with Rtn. Chibuzor Okpala on his installation as the 15th Rotary President.
