ROTARY CLUB OF OGUDU GRA(DISTRICT 9110) ORGANISES CERVICAL CANCER VACCINATIONS
Rotary club of Ogudu GRA(District 9110) in their magnanimous gesture of giving to society, organized a cervical cancer vaccination event which took place at Ogudu GRA, Lagos, on the 15th March 2021.
Cervical cancer is a cancer arising from the cervix.
Cervical cancer is the fourth most common cancer in women. In 2018, an estimated 570 000 women were diagnosed with cervical cancer worldwide and about 311 000 women died from the disease. (WHO)
Effective primary (Vaccination) and secondary prevention approaches (screening for, and treating precancerous lesions) will prevent most cervical cancer cases. (WHO)
