BREAKING NEWS: IPOB attacks police station; two persons killed.

The Imo state police command on Saturday July 31st said that armed men suspected to be members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), attacked and bombed Njaba Police station in Imo state.

WATCHDOG gathered that the Police Public Relations Officer in Imo State Police command, CSP Mike Abattam, made the disclosure in a statement on Saturday.

He said that the bomb blast destroyed some parts of the Police structure. He however, said that the Imo Police engaged the hoodlums and during the process killed 2 of them while also recovering their operational vehicle.

He said, “on July 31, at about 1:20 am, a convoy of bandits moving towards Njaba town in an attempt to launch an attack but were intercepted by the Operation Restore Peace team of the Nigeria Police, Imo State Command, who opened fire on them”.
