BREAKING: Lagos announces four new coronavirus cases
The Lagos State Government has announced four new cases of coronavirus. The state Commissioner for Health, Prof Akin Abayomi, revealed this in an ongoing press conference.
Four new cases of Coronavirus have been confirmed by the Lagos state ministry of health on Thursday.
Briefing newsmen on Thursday, the state commissioner for health, Akin Abayomi said a total of 19 tests were performed on suspected cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, 4 tested positive.
It will be recalled that on Wednesday, five cases were confirmed positive, which brings the total number of infected patients to 9 within 2 days.
POLITICS NIGERIA gathered that the first case is a Nigerian female who returned from France via a Turkish airline (TK 1830) on March 14. The second is a Nigerian man who has never travelled anywhere.
A third patient is a Nigerian man who arrived in Nigeria on March 13, from Frankfurt, Germany aboard a Lufthansa flight.
The ministry is currently tracking over 1,300 people in relation to the deadly coronavirus.
