ROTARY CENTRE SHUT

Rotn. Dr. Jide Akeredolu the District Governor (2019-2020) of Rotary International District 9110 has in the light of recent global developments  and in particular, Nigeria has notified members of the Rotary Club the need  to put on hold all activities at the Rotary Centre. According to him, the situation will be reviewed regularly as the Government and Health Authorities issue advisories and directives”. Meanwhile, members are to note that Rotary activities will still go on as District Officers and staff will now work from home as is done by 75% of Districts all over the world who operate without an edifice. He stated further that online meetings will be the modus operandi in full swing, just as some clubs and District committees have started experimenting and operating with. Meanwhile, members have been admonished to put basic hygiene of frequent handwashing / use of hand sanitisers, adhering to respiratory etiquette,  practising social distancing and isolation at the forefront in combating the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19).

Nigerians are also advised to comply strictly with all the directives of their respective state governments and health authorities for their own safety in these critical times.
